MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED 7:52 p.m.)— Fans were abuzz on Wednesday evening after alleged photos of Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan supposedly taken in Manila, circulated online.
A netizen posted a photo of a guy who appeared to be Troye on Twitter, with the caption “HOY HOY TEKA BAKIT KA ANDITO HINDI KO GETS!!” while tagging the international artist.
This was then shared by thousands of netizens, making Troye Sivan one of the trending topics last Wednesday.
Others pointed out that Troye’s photo was taken in a shopping mall in Makati City.

SM Makati also confirmed that Troye visited the mall.
Although there was no announcement of his arrival nor shows scheduled for Troye, he took to Twitter to confirm that he was indeed in Manila.
"dipped in n out of the Philippines this week workin on fun stuff. If I've taken one thing from this trip it's that I can't WAIT to come back," Troye wrote.
He also shared that he got some "craziest news" while he was in the country.
Troye’s Filipino fans on Facebook page Troye Sivan Philippines earlier called on other fans to respect Troye’s privacy in case they see him.
“If he is in the country and you see him, please respect his privacy,” the fan page’s post read.
Troye is known for his songs "Youth," "Wild," "Fools," "Happy Little Pill," among others.
