Cesar vs. Van in Vengativo

In 1961, Premiere Productions pitted Cesar Ramirez against Van de Leon in Vengativo, where they portrayed bandit and police officer, respectively. Cesar and Van used to be Sampaguita Pictures’ contract stars.

Vengativo was serialized in Liwayway Magazine, written by Francisco V. Coching and directed by Danilo H. Santiago.

The ‘tension-packed story’ co-starred Myrna Delgado, another former Sampaguita star, Ruben Rustia and Eddie Mesa (husband of Rosemarie Gil and father of Michael de Mesa, Mark and Cherie Gil). — RKC
