SB19 shares what has kept group going for eight years
SB19 honors their loyal fans, collectively known as A’TIN, during the second day of One Zone Fest at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The event also marks the group’s eighth anniversary in the music scene.

MANILA, Philippines — The “Kings of P-pop” SB19 paid homage to their loyal fans, collectively known as A’TIN, during the two-day One Zone Fest at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The event also marked the quintet’s eighth anniversary in the music scene.

The members — Pablo, Ken, Josh, Stell and Justin — fondly looked back on their almost-decade-long journey together and expressed their biggest appreciation for A’TIN during the event, which was hosted by Joy Barcoma and Ai Dela Cruz.

“When you ask your younger self, siyempre mapapaisip ka bakit ba namin ‘to sinimulan? Maybe that’s the reason why we lasted for eight years,” the group’s pinuno, Pablo, told the crowd.

“Feeling ko ang totoong susi (to our years together) ay... communication is the key,” Stell quipped, referring to an incident when Pablo forgot the key to their office.

“I saw him at the door. Sabi niya sa pinto, ‘Pagbuksan mo na ako.’ Communication is the key. Ayun, waley.”

He went on, “Feeling ko talaga ang susi talaga sa pagsasamahan na ‘to ay siyempre yung mga binabayad niyo sa concert namin. Hahaha!

“Siyempre nabubuhay kami sa inyo so thank you very much. Ang masasabi ko lang ay magtrabaho pa po kayo. Para magtrabaho pa rin kami… Ang kita niyo ay kita rin namin na papalitan namin ng entertainment.”

His humorous remarks drew loud laughter from the audience, with Justin joining in with his own pun and wordplay: “Ang susi ay ‘key’-ta.”

Joy was quick to react with her own punchline: “Ang galing naman! Ang witty nun. Pero ang kita nila (fans) ay kita niyo (SB19). Ang kita niyo ay kita namin ni Ai. So sipagan niyo A’TIN. Mag-OT (overtime work) kayo kung kinakailangan.”

“So dito sa concert na ‘to makikita niyo ang food chain,” Stell further joked.

Kidding aside, the group took a moment to reminisce about the special memories they have shared with A’TIN over the years.

While they have had countless unforgettable experiences and encounters with their fans, Stell said that what they will treasure most is the fans themselves.

“Pero ‘yung hindi makakalimutan, I think, sila mismo. Sila mismo ‘yung hindi namin makakalimutan kasi biruin mo ‘yun, when we started, we never imagined that this would happen. But until now, they are still here and growing. It’s really them,” he said.

The P-pop Kings deliver explosive performances of their hit songs VISA, DAM, Lawless and other tracks from their earlier releases.

Justin, for his part, lauded their legion of followers for their unwavering support, including those who are lawyers, while Ken praised A’TIN members who extend their generosity through charitable works.

“Hindi lang po kami ‘yung natutulungan nila (but others as well). They also have foundations. They help the elderly and children, as well as typhoon victims. We really appreciate those kinds of things,” he shared.

“Just as we inspire them, they also inspire us more than anything else,” added Josh.

“This is what we use as fuel every day. ‘Pag nakikita po namin na may nababago kaming buhay, kasi minsan hindi naman po lahat ng messages nababasa namin, pero kapag nababasa ko po ‘yung mga sinasabi kung gaano ka-personal sa kanila ‘yung relationship namin and A’TIN, na kami ang pinagkukuhanan nila ng reason para bumangon araw-araw, sobrang napupuno po ‘yung puso namin.”

One Zone Fest is the first-ever music festival mounted by SB19’s company, 1Z Entertainment.

On social media, SB19 also posted a heartfelt message for their supporters, saying: “From the beginning of our journey to where we are today, we’ve grown so much together, and our journey continues to get bigger and more beautiful because of you. As we continue to grow and reach for bigger dreams, we hope to create even more meaningful memories with you along the way.”

They also made sure to acknowledge A’TIN’s important place in their story, adding, “We’re in this together, always. Happy 8th Anniversary!”

During the One Zone Fest, the SB19 got to engage more with A’TIN through various segments, including interactive games. They also delivered explosive performances of their hit songs VISA, DAM, Lawless and other tracks from their earlier releases.

SB19 also announced the upcoming vinyl edition of their second full-length album, “Wakas at Simula,” which was released earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Day 1 of One Zone Fest featured performances by SB19 alongside fellow 1Z Entertainment artists XONARA and J2X.

The event marked the first music festival organized by SB19’s own company, 1Z, bringing together the group and other talents under its management.
