Fire razes storage facility

MANILA, Philippines — An abandoned storage facility in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City caught fire yesterday morning.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said the blaze was raised to first alarm at 5:32 a.m. and quickly escalated to second alarm.
Firefighters declared the blaze under control at 6:10 a.m.
No injuries were reported. Arson probers said they have yet to determine what caused the fire.
In Manila, 20 houses were destroyed after a fire broke out in San Andres Bukid yesterday.
The fire reportedly started on the ground floor of a two-story house, the BFP said.
Fourteen firetrucks and a rescue truck responded.
Around 20 families were displaced by the fire.
