San Juan rolls out boosters for A2, A3

MANILA, Philippines — The city government of San Juan will launch today the COVID-19 booster shots for senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.
Mayor Francis Zamora said booster shots would be administered to residents belonging to the A2 and A3 categories at the FilOil Flying V Arena.
Healthcare workers in the city received their booster jabs last week.
Zamora said those who received their second dose of COVID vaccines six months ago could register for the booster shot.
Residents who were inoculated with the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine three months ago can also avail themselves of a booster shot, he said.
“We are fast-tracking our vaccine rollout so we can all go back to normal, especially as the Christmas season approaches,” Zamora said.
Those who want to get their booster shots can register at the city’s online vaccination portal.
As of yesterday, San Juan had only 29 active cases of COVID-19, down from 1,123 cases on Sept. 16.
