Sixty, roaring and fabulous
The Conservatory of the Peninsula Manila Hotel was transformed into the roaring ‘20s for Cory Navarro’s 60th birthday bash. Jam-packed with friends from Australia, the United States, Zamboanga and Manila who came in their best Gatsby-inspired flapper dresses and crisp suits, the event was an opportunity to honor the always fabulous celebrator. Cory received numerous surprises from her children and grandchildren in a well-organized program prepared by her only daughter, Camille Navarro-Makasiar. Guests enjoyed solid entertainment from the evening’s impressive lineup of performers. Cory could not help but be moved to tears as her friends and family paid tribute to her one by one. One of her scholars also delivered a beautiful and touching testimony of Cory’s character and generosity. Everyone also danced the night away with several dance instructors lighting up the dance floor with ballroom and line dancing. It was an unforgettable celebration of a beloved mother, grandmother and friend.
