Uniqlo Manila is 4,100 square meters and two levels of the Japanese retailer’s latest styles, collaborations and exclusive showcases.

MANILA, Philippines — After celebrating its sixth year anniversary in the Philippines, Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo debuts its first global flagship store in the country spanning two levels and covering 4,100 square meters.

“Our Global Flagship Stores are designed as showcases to the world, displaying the very best that Uniqlo has to offer,” said Uniqlo Southeast Asia and Oceania CEO Satoshi Hatase. “We see the opening of our Global Flagship Store in Manila as an important step toward Uniqlo growth in the region and globally.”

Apart from the full collection of LifeWear, dubbed the building blocks of individual style, the space seamlessly combines Filipino ingenuity and creativity with the brand’s global and innovative retail expertise. Shoppers can expect limited offers at special prices on selected items.

Located on the first floor is the technology section, dedicated to Uniqlo’s proprietary technology products Airism and Heattech, innerwear to suit warm, cold and even transitional weather. Also on the first floor is the Kids and Baby section — the biggest in the country. Expect the complete fall and winter collection, including cashmere sweaters, ultra-light down, and seamless down parkas. A dedicated UT area is on the second floor, showcasing UT designs from the most popular collections including The Walt Disney Company collaboration Magic For All, Hokusai, SPRZ NY, Jump 50th and Minions, among others.

Apart from the largest UT selection in the country, a special mannequin display will showcase a collaborative design project with on-trend styling by Japanese stylist Shun Watanabe and headpieces by Filipino visual artist Leeroy New.

The early birds get the limited-edition Uniqlo Manila Sensu Fan from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. today and a tumbler and tote bag until Oct. 7.

Expect a sneak peek of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s yet-to-be-released game Jump Force along with the latest collection of Jump UT. Customers will have an exclusive opportunity to try out the first preview of the game in the Philippines, only available at Uniqlo Manila. The game will launch in 2019, and Uniqlo Manila customers can enjoy the gaming space until Dec. 31.

In a reference to the store’s opening campaign, “Our Future Is Here,” the first floor will feature artworks by members of the Plus63 Design group. The team worked with Uniqlo to create a series of murals depicting scenes of everyday life in the Philippines, taking inspiration from its vibrancy and diversity to tell the story of each Filipino’s journey. Flagship store highlights include revolving mannequins in the store atrium display windows, and stunning LED displays throughout as well as a balcony for customers with lounge furniture by local designer Kenneth Cobonpue. The balcony acts as a community area where shoppers can rest, meet new people, and experience utmost satisfaction after a long day of shopping.

Early birds will be treated to limited-edition Uniqlo Manila merchandise: a Sensu Fan for any purchase made from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. today, a tote bag for a minimum single receipt purchase of P3,000 until Oct. 7, tumbler for a minimum single receipt purchase of P5,000 until Oct. 7. Tomorrow, customers get free parking for the first four hours for a minimum single receipt purchase of P1,500 and Starbucks surprise treats will be made available for those early in line.
