Welcome to The Philippine Star-Metrobank designmycard contest!

Here is a great way to stamp creativity into the Metrobank credit card and win a cool Canon digital camera!

The Philippine STAR and Metrobank’s designmycard contest is open to all residents of the Philippines. There is absolutely no need to be a Metrobank card holder or even apply for one.

To join the contest from June 1, 2008 to July 20, 2008, here are two easy ways:

Through Philstar email

1. Submit your “most memorable photo” in .jpeg, .bmp, .gif or .tiff format to designmycard@philstar.com.ph  with a brief description (maximum of 100 words only) as to why it should be our winning entry, and your contact details (name, address and telephone numbers).

2. One email should contain only 1 design entry with a corresponding brief description.

3. You will then receive an email confirmation of your entry.

Through Metrobank website

1. Log on to http://designmycard.com.ph and follow the steps to upload your design image.

2. You will receive an email confirmation of your design.

3. Then forward the email confirmation to designmycard@philstar.com.ph  with a brief description (maximum of 100 words only) as to why it should be our winning entry, and your contact details (name, address and telephone numbers).

4. Should you wish to apply for a Metrobank credit card or apply the design image to your existing credit card, a P450 fee will be charged for the approved image. New credit card applications will be subject to the standard credit evaluation. You may call Customer Service Hotline at 8 700 700 for more information.

Some reminders, though, all registered trademarks and brands may only be allowed if there is an accompanying written authority/permission to print from the proprietary owner. If the design image includes other people not related to the contest participant, a written authority/permission from them may also be necessary. The design images must not have sexual content, depict gambling activities, or prejudice a particular race, religion, organization or community.

The winning entry for the week will be published every Sunday starting June 8 until July 27, 2008 in the Lifestyle section of The STAR. A collage of winning and non-winning entries will also be published on August 3, 2008.

Send as many entries as you can for a greater chance of winning until July 20, 2008.
