A touch of style at Midas Hotel

-

MANILA, Philippines - The landmark hotel that was originally designed by National Artist for Architective Leandro Locsin has been given a makeover.

A few minutes’ drive from the international and domestic airports, SM Mall of Asia and Makati’s financial district, Midas Hotel is a great venue to enjoy the finer things in life.

Managed by Genesis Hotels & Resorts — the hotel management team behind Bellaroca Island Resort, Astoria Plaza and Boracay, One Tagaytay Place, Hotel St. Ellis in Legazpi City, Albay and Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan — Midas Hotel is a collaboration of the masters, a synthesis of the old and new, an experience that is distinctly Midas.

The adobe stone walls and pillars of the original design still stand in the lobby, but they are now are layered with chrome and crystals. A fiber optic chandelier hangs from the high ceiling of the lobby that is adorned with luxurious Italian furniture by Poltrona Frau and Philippe Starck.

The Midas touch: Thanks to design mavens Cynthia and Ivy Almario, the adobe stonewalls and pillars of the original design still stand in the lobby, this time layered with chrome and crystals. Completing the Midas brand of panache is a fiber optic chandelier hanging from the high ceiling of the lobby that is adorned with luxurious Italian furniture by Poltrona Frau and Philippe Starck.

Guests are assured of comfort in the spacious guest rooms elegantly designed and furnished with beds lined with Egyptian cotton linen, goose-down mattress, duvets and pillows.

Bathroom amenities from elite brands, a variety of choice refreshments, and in-room Internet access are just some of the things guests are lavished with.

Each food and beverage outlet will be a showcase of renowned chef’s masterpieces. Western and fusion cuisine at the all-day dining facility, authentic teppan and sushi dishes at the Japanese restaurant and scrumptious Chinese favorites at the noodle house. Th 2702 lobby lounge offers a variety of drinks from cocktails, shooters, liqueurs, wines to hard liquor, while the soon-to-open bread and pastry corner will serve freshly baked breads, pastries and pralines.
