Jessica Stam is the new face of Aldo

-

MANILA, Philippines - You can call her a doll. She possesses that candied image of innocence and femininity that can basically wear any look that she pleases. Her name is Jessica Stam, Aldo’s new face.

Stam was discovered inside a local donut shop in 2001 on her way back from an amusement park. In the past 10 years, she has charted a flourishing timeline where each year gave her nothing but success.

She won the L.A. Model Look contest. Famous photographer Steven Meisel then made her his muse. Other photographers followed such as Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort, and Steven Kelin, among others. She landed on covers of Italian Vogue, British Vogue, American Vogue, French Vogue, Korean Numero, and Chinese Elle, as well as multiple editorials in other mags such as Harper’s Bazaar, W, Vogue Turkey and the first issue of Pop. Because of her increased popularity, designer Marc Jacob even designed the “Stam Bag” which immediately became an “it” bag.

Her rise to fame allowed her to open shows for brands such as Miu Miu, Carolina Herrera, Valentino, Rodarte, Richard Nicoll, and Elie Saab while also doing ramp acts in Victoria’s Secret shows. Stam has been the “face” of numerous brands such as H&M, Giorgio Armani, Lanvin, Christian Dior, while endorsing fragrances like Nina Ricci’s Ricci Ricci, Giorgio Armani’s Onde, and Anna Sui’s Flight of Fancy.

Stam also starred as an orange-haired love interest in a short film titled Agent Orange, as well as hosted a charity event with Adrian Grenier to build wells in Africa. As the 15th highest paid model according to Forbes, and her whole life ahead of her, she is the new face of Aldo.

Aldo’s latest collection reminds us of Stam’s presence, a distinct character that defines the way details and accessories come into play. Unlike any model who may have a figure such as hers, Stam shines from within. She can wear any kind of accessory that is high-heeled, cone-shaped, wedged or even perched above a stiletto boot.

Versatility is what this collection is all about, and there is no being loyal to just one style. Women are encouraged to play dress-up as they have multiple choices of how they want to look this season. Whether they choose ruffles over studded accessories or relaxed key pieces that are perfectly polished, stepping into different shoes is never a bad idea.

Aldo is at Bonifacio High Street, Greenbelt 5, Marquee Mall, Robinsons Ermita, Robinsons Galleria, Rockwell, Shangri-La, SM Cebu, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA The Block, and TriNoma. Aldo accessories are available at Bonifacio High Street, Greenbelt 5, Robinsons Ermita and TriNoma.
