MANILA, Philippines — Game-changer smartphone brand realme brings to the Philippines the latest addition to its product line, the realme 3. Designed to enable users to #DiscoverRealValue, realme 3 delivers strong system performance, extraordinary build, upgraded cameras and dependable battery life—all in one device that is set to disrupt the budget and midrange smartphone sectors.

Rundown of specs

The realme 3 comes with features unrivaled in its price segment.

It boasts a MediaTek Helio P60 processor which consumes significantly less power than other phones’ 12nm process chips. This makes realme 3 the strongest segment entrant today.

For faster performance, the phone is supported with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Taking phone design up a notch is the realme 3’s gradient unibody design, bringing the best tactile and visual experience.

The camera is equipped with a 13MP front camera and a 13MP main camera + 2MP secondary camera rear duo. Nightscape mode optimizes camera performance in low-lit environments while the Chroma Boost uses AI technology to identify objects, optimize photos and improve overall detail and dynamic range.

The phone also packs a 4230mAh battery with intelligent power-saving functions for much longer performance.

For maximized screen real estate, the phone features a dew drop design, aligning the front camera as well as the light and distance sensors. It also features a high screen ration at 88.3 percent.

“We are truly happy to bring here to the Philippines our latest product, the realme 3. It’s a budget smartphone packing higher-tier features that fit Filipinos’ active and vibrant lifestyles. We are ready and humbled to once again give Filipinos a device that lets them #DiscoverRealValue," shares Jacky Chen, chief operating officer for realme Philippines.

Visual appeal

For better grip and visual integration, the realme 3 deviates from the "sandwich" format of screen-middle frame-back cover. It instead utilizes a 3D gradient unibody for better ergonomics and implementation.

It uses gradient color matching in its two color variants: Dynamic Black and Radiant Blue. The Dynamic Black model has a two-toned black-blue scheme, while the Radiant Blue variant has a mirror effect produced by the NCVM non-conductive plating process vaporizing a silver reflective layer on the back cover. It is then sprayed over with a translucent blue-green ink to create a graduated color effect.

Complementing the phone’s aesthetic are the iconic realme cases. Two variants will be available in the country: Blue Diamond and Grey which are priced at P499 and P399, respectively.

One with the legends

Boosting its claim of supreme performance, realme 3 partnered with Mobile Legends to sponsor the third season of Mobile Legends Professional League.

Users will also get a slice of pie right out of the box. The phone is equipped with the latest ColorOS 6.0 which provides better user interface through the Google Stock Android experience.

Pricing and availability

The realme 3 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage priced at P6,990 will be exclusively available online through shopping platform Shopee. Fans can get their own realme 3 at a marked-down price of P6,290 by using exclusive vouchers during Shopee’s March 25 flash sale.

“We are excited for the exclusive launch of the latest realme 3 smartphone on Shopee to bring our users first-hand access to yet another premium device from realme. We are very happy with this partnership so far, and shoppers can look forward to more exclusive products and promotions on Shopee Mall in 2019,” shares Martin Yu, associate director of Shopee Philippines.

Offline variants: 3GB RAM and 64GB storage; 4GB RAM and 64GB storage are priced at P7,990 and P9,990, respectively. These are available through local distributors and kiosks nationwide starting April 6. Customers may pre-order the offline variants from March 20 to April 5 with a minimum deposit of P500. Those who pre-ordered are going to receive freebies worth P1,299.

To reach more Filipinos, realme Philippines partnered with leading global consumer finance provider Home Credit. The 3GB RAM and 64GB storage variant may be availed through a 9- or 12-month easy plan while the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant may be availed with a 6-month plan at 0 percent interest.
