MANILA, Philippines — In celebration of its golden anniversary, a personal care brand recently released a new book that spills professional nail artists’ secrets.

The book/magazine, titled “Caronia 50 Years: Keep Things Colorful,” is a step-by-step, do-it-yourself guide to 50 nail art inspirations that can be used for every day, special occasions or even livelihood.

Distributed at Caronia's partner salons, the book was recently introduced together with the nail polish brand's new summer collection, Tropical Glam, which includes pastel and glittery nail polishes inspired by positivity and glamour.

“For the Tropical Glam collection, we also opted to focus on softer but shimmering pastel colors that can mix and match with any outfit or with any activity most girls have planned for the summer,” explained Brand Officer Rachel Enciso.

Available in Lazada, the collection has six colors available in two sets, shimmer and metallic. The shimmer set is composed of the shades Limelight, Primrose and Fantasia. Limelight is a glittery ocean green shade and, just like the ocean, it sparkles in the sun. Primrose is a baby pink polish in a matte finish that imbibes a rustic summer feel. Fantasia is a glittery darker pink shade.

Meanwhile, the metallic set is composed of Fairy Dust, Lumina and Ethereal. Lumina has a light gold shimmer with an earthy summer vibe. Fairy Dust is metallic silver, like the sparkling waves of the sea, and Ethereal is a shimmering deep rose gold.

"We aspire to continue delighting an avid loyal following of generations past, together with a new breed of empowered young Filipinas with our new nail color releases and innovative product offerings,” Enciso said.

Vivienne Rudd, Senior Beauty Analyst at Mintel, a famous marketing research company in the US, revealed that groomed nails have a positive impact on confidence to some extent for eight in 10 women and six in 10 of all adults.
