Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado team up as cops in reunion action series
MANILA, Philippines — Jennylyn Mercado revealed that she had to overcome her fear of the gun as she prepared to team up with her husband Dennis Trillo in their TV comeback this June.
The reel-and-real-life couple is starring in the upcoming action series “Sanggang Dikit” airing on GMA’s primetime block.
“Takot ako sa baril. Hindi ako sanay humawak ng baril at 'yung tunog ng baril, 'yun yung pinaka ayoko. Pero ngayon medyo nasasanay na,” Jennylyn told seasoned entertainment reporter Lhar Santiago who visited them on their set.
Dennis and Jennylyn turned a year older as they celebrated their birthdays earlier this week. Dennis’ birhtday was on May 12, while Jennylyn’s was last May 15.
GMA Drama released the show’s teaser, where the couple is seen fighting the bad guys, either solo or as partners. Jennylyn’s character was even seen doing a challenging stunt against a foe.
“Sanggang Dikit” is slated to premiere in June on GMA-7. It is Dennis and Jennylyn’s TV reunion after the 2015 drama “My Faithful Husband.”
