MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya singer Darren Espanto blasted his “The Voice Kids” co-finalist JK Labajo after an alleged tweet of the latter about the former’s sexuality.

In a now deleted post, JK allegedly posted on his Twitter account, “@Espanto2001 gayness at its finest.”

The “Buwan” singer said a hacker posted that tweet.

Darren, however, turned to Twitter to air his frustration over JK’s alleged tweet.

“Timing ‘no? Dinelete ng ‘hacker’ mo yung tweet na ‘to after kang kausapin ng management. Pag nahanap mo yung hacker mo puntahan niyo ako para malaman niyo kung sino yung totoong BAKLA. @KarlosLabajo,” Darren wrote.

For his part, JK posted: “thats all maaliwanas na hapon sa inyong lahat i love you” on his Twitter account, as Darrenatics or Darren’s fans commented on the status.

“sana yung ugali mo maaliwalas din hihi,” a netizen commented.

“Bastos ka naman talaga. Everyone knows that. I used to love your music kasi sobrang tagos ang emosyon mo kapag kumakanta, pero ang personality ang mas mahalaga sa mga fans kumpara sa musicianship. Very disappointing,” another netizen commented.

Fans of JK also defended the singer on the thread, saying: “if ill see u again sa mga gig mo ill give u a tight hug uve been doing so great jeyks :((“

“Sa fans ni darren, I know as a fan anong feeling pag inaway yung idol nila lalo't mahal natin sila, pero sana kahit minsan lang man wag masyadong sarado ang pag-iisip, hindi maayos ang gulo kung sarado ang tenga at isip. Lahat nagkakamali and JK is clearly explaining his side,” another netizen commented.
