MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso actress Marian Rivera confirmed that her husband, actor Dingdong Dantes, will run at the upcoming 2019 elections.

Speaking with the media following her launch as Canesten endorser, Marian said that while she still did not know what position her husband is eyeing for, she affirmed speculations that Dingdong has political ambition.

The Kapuso “Primetime Queen” also said that she will support her husband in whatever plan he wants to hatch. She also advised the public to wait for Dingdong to formally announce his candidacy.

Dingdong has been supporting advocacies on environment and climate change. He is also chairman of YesPinoy Foundation, manager of his own film outfit AgostoDos Pictures, and appointed by former Pres. Benigno Aquino III as commissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission.

Apart from aspiring to join politics, the Kapuso actor is busy doing his upcoming GMA teleserye, "Cain at Abel," with Dennis Trillo. — Video by Kat Leandicho
