MANILA, Philippines — Support and outrage continue to pour for multimedia star Kris Aquino’s new Facebook live video that challenges Presidential Communications Group Assistant Secretary for Social Media Esther Margaux "Mocha" Uson to a one-on-one duel or debate.

Uploaded on the evening of June 5, the more than 17-minute video captioned with “#LabanKris” shows the “Queen of Talk” sharing how deeply hurt she was by Mocha’s June 4 video comparing Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s recent controversial kiss with an overseas Filipino worker in Korea to that of the kisses Kris’s father, the late Sen. Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., received before he was assassinated on August 21, 1983.

Kris began her video by thanking her supporters before explaining why she had to go on cam.

“Ang nangyari mom ko ‘yun, dad ko ‘yun at winawalangya na masyado ang alaala nila. This is Kris as a daughter. This is Kris reacting and opening up her heart to you. I cried. I really, really cried. And I am stopping myself from crying now because turo ng mom, never show them that they hurt you. But I was hurt.”

She said she was not only hurt by what Mocha’s video contains, but because of the timing of the post. It was posted during her first born, Joshua’s, birthday.

“I was hurt because na-relive eh… ‘Yung timing ng post was Kuya’s birthday. Naaalala ko lahat ng kasalanan ko sa mom ko, lahat ng kabutihang ginawa ng mom ko sa akin.. I’m not in this country, sorry, nasa Japan pa lang ako. Pauwi pa lang ako. At ‘yung dalawang babaeng ‘yun nahalikan sya bago s’ya bumaba at bago s;ya na-assassinate… Hindi mo alam ‘yung sakit na pinaramdam mo sa post na ‘yun kasi naisip ko, sana nabigay ‘yung karapatan na ‘yun sa mom ko. My mom deserves that because my mom gave her entire life to my dad.”

She asked how could Mocha do such thing to her parents if she did not do anything against Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.

‘Four Sisters and a Wedding’

Instead of attacking her parents, Kris again pleaded Mocha to direct tirades to her.

“Girl, ako na lang. Kayang-kaya ko. Anytime, anywhere. Say what you want to say about me. Say the harshest words you want. I can take it. But spare my parents. 'Di nila deserve ang kabastusan mo dahil binigay nila ang buhay nila para sa mga Pilipino.”

According to Kris, she is ready to meet Mocha for a debate or a brawl just to resolve the issue.

“Matagal kong tiniis na ‘wag s’yang pangalanan pero ngayon pinapapangalanan ko na si Asec Mocha Uson. Sobra ka na eh. Yung ginawa mo, ang mga sinaktan mo mahal na mahal ko. And ganito na lang ha. Deretsahan na. Babae sa babae. Gusto mo ng kaaway? Ako. I’m ready. Anytime, anywhere, harapan.”

Kris also suggested if Mocha wants to recreate a fight scene in the 2013 comedy-drama movie “Four Sisters and a Wedding,” where Mocha can be seen being lambasted by the movie’s lead characters, portrayed by Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo, Toni Gonzaga and Shaina Magdayao, after Mocha’s character was spotted making out with Angel’s boyfriend in the movie, Bernard Palanca.

“Gusto mo debate? Keri. Gusto mong gawin natin ‘yung eksena sa movie… Four weddings something? It was a Star Cinema movie sina Angel Locsin… Four sisters and a wedding. You want to do that scene with me? You want na ako ikaw at ikaw si Angel? Gawin na natin para matigil ka na lang.”

Kris said she knows she is challenging a “giant” and she is not scared by the fact that Mocha is backed by legions of followers.

“So, I just wanna say that I am ready for you and this is a direct challenge to you. Face me. Face me anywhere. Text me. You can find my number. Ang dali. Name the place. Name the location. Let’s carry it live. Bring all your followers. I can stand alone,” Kris assured.

“But stop it. Stop doing this to two people who have never hurt you! Hindi ka nila binastos dahil patay na sila! Hindi ka rin binastos ng kapatid ko, pero labas sya sa usapan na to, buhay sya, kaya nya ipagtanggol sarili nya. Pero hindi kaya ng nanay at tatay ko. Ako buhay na buhay. So ako, balahura din ako eh, Ganyan eh!”

Kris threatened to do something if Mocha continues to attack her parents.

“But I’m giving you fair warning. Isa pa! Isa pa na bastusin at babuyin mo ang tatay at ang nanay ko, magtutuos tayo! Dahil kaya ko eh. Lahat na siguro ng pinakamasakit, lahat na ng basura na pwedeng itapon, natapon na sa’kin. Pero kinaya ko at wala akong tinago. Alam ng buong Pilipinas ang kwento ng buhay ko… Hindi po ako pinalaki para mambastos. Pero pag binabastos na mga magulang ko, kaya to talaga. Wala akong uurungan at di kita uurungan!”

Krissy won’t cry

The very angry Kris admitted in the video that she was so hurt that she wanted to cry while on live, but she remembers what her mom, the late Pres. Corazon Aquino, said.

“I will get a scolding from my mom if I cry now, that’s why I’m fighting the tears. My mom will say now, ‘Krissy, this is the time that you do not cry.’ So, I’m doing everything in my power to not cry… It’s just a girl, a simple daughter at this point. Tinatanggal ko po ‘yung Kris Aquino na naging celebrity. ‘Yung Kris Aquino na sinasabi nilang number one influencer sa Pilipinas ngayon. ‘Di yon mahalaga. Anak ako at nanay ako.”

Kris clarified in the video that she does not have any political agenda for going live.

“This is really not about me. This is really about the legacy of two people I really love. This is about Ninoy and Cory Aquino. And this is about a woman who never knew them. But who continues na hindi tumitigil na bastusin ang pangalan ng magulang ko. Tama na.”

In fact, Kris said, she risks losing everything because of the video.

“Wala akong posisyon na hinahanap. I’m not running for office. I do not seek elective office. I am not scoring brownie points for this. In fact, by doing this now, there might be some businesses that might back out of contracts…  I can wake up tomorrow and I can lose everything. Kaya ko pong ipagpalit talaga lahat ‘wag lang bastusin ang mom at dad ko.”

Kris stressed that she made the video not only to defend her parents, but also to set an example to her kids.

“People are telling me why are you stooping down to her level? I’m doing this because I love my mom. I love my dad. And if I don’t do this now, I will hate myself. And if I don’t do this now, I won’t be the mother I want to be. Ginagawa ko ‘to for my sons to see what I’m willing to do for my mom and my dad. Because when I’m no longer here, gustong gusto ko na si Bimb ipagtanggol ako.”

If there is one thing that made Kris proud for making the video, it is because she was able to pull back her tears.

“I’m sorry if I was emotional, but mom, I didn’t cry. You’ll be proud.”

Ready for it?

As a “Swiftie” or an avid Taylor Swift fan, Kris could not help but drop lines from Taylor’s songs. In the video challenging Mocha, Kris said something similar to one of Swift’s latest hits, “Ready For It?,” as she did in her other videos. It can be recalled that she used Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” as background of a recent video against ex-husband James Yap.

“I will end this by saying that kung gusto mo ng taong sasampal-sampalin, kung gusto mo ng taong sasabunutan, nandito ako, I’m ready. I’m ready for you, but I don’t know if you’re ready for me,” Kris told Mocha in the video, which so far, has garnered over 147,000 reactions, 3.4 million views, 47,000 shares, and 94,500 comments on Facebook.

“To all of you, this is not about being yellow. This is all about love for my mom, love for my dad and love for our country. Before I was anything else, I was Ninoy’s daughter and I will always be Cory’s daughter. We are all human beings who deserve respect, and I am just fighting for respect,” Kris said.

“Maraming salamat po kasi hanggang ngayon pinaramdam nyo sakin na mahal nyo si Ninoy Aquino at mahal nyo si Cory Aquino.”

In an Instagram post on June 6, Kris said she took the courage to reach out to Duterte’s Special Assistant Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go.

I took the courage to reach out to PRRD’s SA Bong Go (sorry sa initial post, nag auto correct to Gong- although cute yung Bong Gong. )... thank you commissioner Aimee Neri for helping me reach him via text. i have known & liked him for 8 years. In this instance i am Ninoy Aquino’s daughter- he believed in the power of true & honest communication... SA Bong, thank you for your reply. Thank you for taking my feelings as a daughter into consideration & showing me EMPATHY. I am most grateful for a man as powerful as you are now for texting & vibering me the words “we are sorry for the incident.” You have my sincere gratitude. We all have 1 goal, a nation we can be proud of, and the best possible prosperous lives for all Filipinos. I love our country as much as our president does. I pray for #PEACE & mutual #respect for all of us. God bless you.

According to Kris, Go understood her and apologized on Mocha’s behalf.
