The GMA-7 actor was “highly commended” for his performance in the 2013 soap opera “My Husband’s Lover” at the 19th Asian TV Awards held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on Thursday.

Dennis was nominated in the Best Actor in a Leading Role category of the award-giving body.

This isn‘t the first recognition “My Husband’s Lover” received internationally.

In October, the show, a soap opera about wife who discovers her husband has a gay lover, was nominated in the telenovela category of the 2014 International Emmy award (it lost to Brazil’s “Precious Pearl”).

Dennis, who won a best actor award locally for the said role, is part of the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Shake, Rattle and Roll XV."
