Kylie more open about love life

MANILA, Philippines - Kylie Padilla is now more open about her love life. She doesn’t mind discussing her relationship with Aljur Abrenica through her posts on her Instagram account.

When The STAR saw Kylie at the pocket presscon for the GMA 7 primetime series Adarna, she willingly answered questions about Aljur, her first boyfriend. They’ve been going steady for two years. (Likewise, Aljur is also open about his feelings for Kylie, according to an online report.)

When Kylie and Aljur celebrated Valentine’s Day in Tagaytay, they posted photos on their respective Instagram accounts. Kylie even posted their Tagaytay experience on YouTube.

Kylie revealed they love doing the same things like eating out, “‘pag nagpa-firing siya, nagpa-firing din ako kahit pa panglalaki ’yun. We also love the cold weather, that’s why we enjoy  Tagaytay.”

Kylie admitted that she used to be paranoid, always suspecting “something” in everything she saw, until she was convinced that Aljur is faithful to her. Her dad, Robin, was reported to be against Kylie’s relationship with Aljur but she explained, “He was just being protective and I think it’s normal for any dad to feel that way.”

But Kylie said she wouldn’t let love affect her career.

“Yes, it’s hard being in showbiz. I had doubts at first kasi madami akong dapat isipin but I’m happy with what I’m doing. I really love and enjoy acting.”

According to Kylie, she’s now comfortable in dramatic scenes, thanks to her Adarna co-star Jean Garcia.

“Ms. Jean told me to just relax and let my emotions flow. It works.”

For Kylie, the hardest part is when she has to cry even when she’s already exhausted in the wee hours of the morning, and then the cast and crew are just eager to go home and rest.

“Then I get disappointed when I see that my performance isn’t good enough. I am a perfectionist, you know. I’m not satisfied with ‘okey lang.’ When there’s still time, I ask my director to have another take. If not, next time na lang ako bumabawi.”

Kylie hopes to work with Aljur, Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo. “In a rom-com with Aljur, in drama with Tom and in an action show or movie with Dennis.”
