Boots & King story in Wagas

MANILA, Philippines - The love month becomes a lot sweeter as GMA News TV’s love anthology Wagas marks its first year with a month-long special featuring four special, true-to-life love stories beginning today.

Wagas’ four-part anniversary special premieres with the story of Boots Anson-Roa and lawyer King Rodrigo (photo), portrayed by Jaclyn Jose and Allan Paule with the special participation of Anita Linda.  According to Boots, she asked for a sign from God if she should give love another try. She did not expect that the man who could make her fall in love again is her childhood friend, King.

Wagas will next feature love at the time of war. The story centers on a seamstress and a farmer whose love defeats war and destruction. The episode features Rhian Ramos and Marc Abaya.

It will be followed by the moving story of the so-called Octoman who, despite his special condition, attracts a woman who would love him unconditionally (played by Rocco Nacino and Bela Padilla).

The fourth episode tells the story of how true love goes beyond gender preferences (featuring Bettina Carlos, Kevin Santos and Rodjun Cruz who were all part of My Husband’s Lover).

Wagas airs Saturday nights at 7 on GMA News TV.
