Comic Divas slated at Resorts World tonight

MANILA, Philippines - Viva Concerts and Events presents The Comic Divas at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila, starring top comediennes Nanette Inventor, Tessie Tomas and Mitch Valdez, tonight at 8.

Acknowledged masters of live comedy, Nanette, Tessie and Mitch, promise an evening of smart repartee and no-holds-barred laughter. Sure to add fun is special guest Jon Santos, who joins his idols for the first time on stage. Comic Divas is directed by Andrew de Real with Nikko Rivera as musical director.

Nanette started out as a singer. She hit the big time as a comedienne when writer-director Joey Reyes tapped her to be the nouveau riche matron Doña Buding on TV.

Tessie, on the other hand, essayed various characters but her most successful and most enduring is that of Meldita, which was based on former First Lady Imelda Marcos.

Mitch has built a solid career on stage, in the movies and on TV.
