It's a go for Bong-Vic Metrofest starrer even without Ai-Ai

MANILA, Philippines - It’s confirmed: Sen. Bong Revilla told Funfare Update that his return team-up with Vic Sotto will be pushed through as an entry in this year’s Metro Filmfest. The two starred together in Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote also in the Metro Filmfest in 2010. It was a blockbuster.

The original plan was for Bong and Vic to star and produce a Metro Filmfest movie with Ai-Ai de las Alas until Ai-Ai discovered that her contract with Star Cinema prohibits her from doing a Metro Filmfest movie with Vic outside of the company. It was Star Cinema that produced Vic and Ai-Ai’s starrer Enteng ng Ina Mo, the top-grosser in last year’s Metro Filmfest.

Even if she has already closed the deal with Vic and Bong at a secret meeting (reported as a “scoop” by Funfare Update), she said that she has no choice but to honor her Star Cinema contract.

In place of Ai-Ai, Bong said he and Vic are eyeing an equally big star as their leading lady.
