Ruffa marks 'a beautiful life'

MANILA, Philippines – Where, oh, where was her rumored boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz when Ruffa Gutierrez celebrated her ‘tysomething birthday (June 24) last June 28 at the CBS Studio Backlot (on 4024 Radford Ave., Studio City, California)?

‘Maybe John Lloyd deliberately didn’t show up to avoid adding fire to the rumor about him and Ruffa,’ surmised Funfare DPA ‘LU’ who furnished this corner with this ‘scoop’ accompanied by photos.

John Lloyd, who shares a birthday with Ruffa, was also in California with other Star Magic stars for a show.

Titled The Beautiful Life! Celebration - A Toast to Ruffa Gutierrez (with Ruffa’s friend Monet Lu as executive producer), the affair included a presentation of the collection of L.A. designers Alan del Rosario and Mul Tayoba, and the LolliMe swimwear collection of designer Nicolette Lacson. Part of the proceeds will go to Ruffa’s Roof-A-Child Foundation.
