The gift that takes you places

-

MANILA, Philippines - Giving gifts often raises mixed emotions. On one hand, it’s a good feeling to give, on the other hand, finding the perfect gift can cause a whole lot of anxiety. The perfect gift has to be more than a token. It’s best if the ones we give it to have use for it. Many gifts fit the bill, but this time, how about giving something that goes the distance?

My Free Gas comes up with a great gift idea just before Christmas comes rushing in: P1,000 gas cards from Caltex. Suited for companies looking for a new corporate giveaway come December, My Free Gas’ Caltex gas cards offer a practical alternative to calendars, day planners, key chains or umbrellas stamped with the company logo.

“It was actually because of Sulit.com that we realized giving gas would make a great gift,” My Free Gas president Doby Atilano says.

“For Father’s Day last June, Sulit.com came to us with a winner’s list of 50 dads that they wanted to gift with P1,000 gas cards for two months. I thought it was a nice gesture for all the hardworking dads on Father’s Day.”

As fathers enjoyed two months of free gas for Father’s Day, so can corporate clients during the Christmas season. Companies may choose which and how many clients they wish to give gifts to and My Free Gas would take care of all the details.

My Free Gas is an advertising medium at its core – a way to advertise and give back to the community. Advertisers may choose from its growing database of car owners who have registered with My Free Gas to carry 20-by-3.5-inch stickers of their brands on their rear bumpers or windshields. After accumulating a mileage of 300 kilometers in one month, the car owners would receive a P1,000 Caltex gas card. My Free Gas gives advertisers a chance to directly express their appreciation to the people or motorists who believe in their brands.

“It’s innovative advertising and the first of its kind in the Philippines and the world,” Atilano says.

It would also work in the same way as Christmas gifts or corporate giveaways in December. Pre-chosen clients, either coming from the advertiser’s own list or My Free Gas’ database, would carry a brand’s 20-by-3.5 inch sticker on their vehicles and receive their gas gift cards – all to be organized and accomplished by My Free Gas – much like a Christmas gift stamped with the corporate logo.

“We have a system in place that makes everything convenient for My Free Gas clients,” Atilano says.

“My Free Gas would be the one to attach the stickers to the vehicles, monitor the mileage driven and condition of the stickers, and distribute the gas cards.”

The gift of gas is something new and practical for the coming Christmas season. There’s no need to worry about gifts anymore as the holiday rush starts. Let My Free Gas to take care of the giving.
