Index rallies for 7th day in morning trade

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Stock Exchange index rallied for the seventh consecutive trading day as of midday Thursday, with the benchmark index advancing by 29.49 points to 6,169.35.

The broader all shares index similarly rose, adding 19.21 points to 3,738.24.

The financials sector led counters with a 1.48-percent gain, while services and property sectors were down.
