National Credit Congress slated

MANILA, Philippines - The Credit Management Association of the Philippines (CMAP) will hold the 32nd National Credit Congress on April 26 at the Makati Sports Club. This will coincide with the 81st anniversary of CMAP.

CMAP president Oscar Gumabay of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) and Luis T. Arriola, the Chairman of the National Credit Congress, announced that this year’s theme is “CMAP as Partner in Sustaining Economic Growth.”

The first part of the congress is the annual election followed by the launching of the CMAP website and the CMAP online search. The opening plenary session will be keynoted Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Diwa C. Guinigundo.

In the afternoon, Lynn Wang, director, Asia Pacific, Transunion Philippines, will share her ideas and insights on the topic “Risk Analytics and Risk Model,” while head agent Palmer U. Mallari, chief technical intelligence division of NBI, will discuss “Fraud Detection.”

Towards the end of the day, the delegates will witness the 81st anniversary celebration starting with the presentation of CMAP history, induction of new CMAP members and awarding of service, leadership, most active member and director and presidential awards. Finally, a fellowship night will culminate the day’s activities.
