Ronnie and Joe is back in business

Carla Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - This week, luxury eyewear boutique Ronnie and Joe finally opens its doors after quite a long hiatus. Having opened in January 2014 and subsequently closing to undergo a massive revamp, the end result is nothing short of impressive. Long under wraps but much anticipated, the Rockwell branch opens just in time for the Christmas season (and this is definitely a stop on our wish list) with Ronnie and Joe’s sleek new look — complete with modern lighting, marble accents and a well-styled staff to boot. Featuring the distinct aesthetic reflective of the brand’s owner and creative director Mike Concepcion’s unique vision, the shops new look draws a lot of inspiration from the myriad of international brands available in the shop.

As a stockist for brands like fashion and celebrity favorites Karen Walker, Ksubi and Grey Ant, worldwide-respected names like Moscot NYC, Barton Perreira and Garrett Leight, iconic Japanese brand Matsuda, the underground cool Native Sons, and recently revived luxury French eyewear house Max Pittion (just to name a few) — the Ronnie and Joe roster is ever expanding, thanks to their keen eye for trends, quality and design. An attention to quality and detail is paramount for Ronnie and Joe, who scour the world for only the best made frames to stock exclusively in their shop. As one of the foremost eyewear shops in the country, the collection at Ronnie and Joe is unparalleled, boasting a unique selection of some of the best and most exclusive artisanal eyewear brands in the world, only available at Ronnie and Joe.

Committed to presenting a retail eyewear experience never before heard of in the country, the store creates a carefully curated environment that makes sure the frames you choose from Ronnie and Joe will be loved for a lifetime. Whether it's sleek and sophisticated, or hip and funky, the wide range of styles will surely impress even the most skeptical customers.

The YStyle favorites? Elusive designer brands like Thom Browne Eyewear and DITA, the epitome of eyewear luxury, are only available in select boutiques worldwide (think Dover Street Market and Colette Paris) and, of course, Ronnie and Joe. Visit the newly opened store at the ground floor of Rockwell mall (beside Y-3) and keep an eye out for other lifestyle brands including scents and fragrances, artisanal candles and shaving products (like Baxter of California).
