MANILA, Philippines – Pradera bagged titles in two categories but failed to score a sweep as Wack Wack averted it by winning a title in the 2018 PAL-JGFP Interclub Championship held over the weekend at the Pradera Verde Golf and Country Club in Barangay Prado Siongco in Lubao, Pampanga.

The teams of Pradera captured the Divisions 1 and 2 titles in convincing fashions, while Wack Wack took the Division 3 championship in a thrilling finish following the three-day tournament organized by the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP).

Jolo Magcalayo, Harmie Constantino, Annika Cayabyab and Sean Jean Ramos of Pradera 1 had a combined total score of 467 points to rule Division 1 (ages 13-14 and 15 to 18) to beat second placer ICTSI  (438) and third placer Pradera 2 (437).

In the Division 2 category (ages 9-10 and 11-12), Pradera 1’s Zachary Castro, Monique Arroyo, Rianne Malixi and Miko Granada finished with a total score of 450 points to win the title against Pradera 2 (392) and Wack Wack (382).

Wack Wack and Southwoods were tied after two rounds of play with 252 points apiece, but the team of Celine Abalos, Sean Young, Armand Copok and Davao-based Edison Tabalin scored 130 points in the final day against the 129 points of Southwoods, which finished with a total score of 381 points.

In Division 3, 7-year-old sensation Nicole Gan, Kristoffer Nadales, Geoff Tan and Cassy Arbatin had a combined score of 328 points to rule the 7-8 years old category over Pradera 1 (320) and Pradera 2 (183).

Magcalayo emerged as the Class A champion in boys with 158 points, while Southwoods’ Aidric Chan placed second (157) and Carlo Villaroman of Pradera 4 third (153), while Constantino was the Class A winner in girls with 151 points, followed by Pradera 2’s Nicole Abelar (140) and Wack Wack Sam Bruce (140).

In Class B boys Tae Soon Kim of Orchard (155), Edward Lee of Marianas Guam (155) and Sean Jean Ramos of Pradera (154); Class C boys Zachary Castro of Pradera 1 (157), Jeff Jung of Southwoods (152) and Dylan Castillo of Pradera 1 (136); Class D boys Miko Granada (157), Tae Won Kim of Orchard (125) and Vitto Miravite of Valley 1 (115); and Class E-F boys Mark Nadales of Wack Wack (140), Scott Ng of Southwoods (124) and Jacob Taruc of Pradera 1 (113).

In Class B girls Mafy Singson of ICTSI (147), Samantha Dizon of ICTSI (134) and Laurea Duque of Pradera 3 (134); Class C girls Monique Arroyo of Pradera 2 (135), Rianne Malixi of Pradera 1 (117) and Mz. Theresa dela Paz of Pradera 3 (111); Class D girls Tyanna Jacot of Marianas Guam (122), Celine Abalos of Wack Wack (119) and Gabie Rosca of Pradera 2 (117); and Class E-F girls Mika dela Paz of Pradera 1 (108), Nicole Gan of Wack Wack (87) and Krisana Fenton of Marianas Guam (76).
