MANILA, Philippines – Alyssa Valdez will make her much-awaited debut for 3BB Nakornont in the Thai League as she is set to play against powerhouse Bangkok Glass in the Thai League at the Yaowachon Cha Lerm Pra Kiat SC in Nonthaburi on Saturday.

Valdez, the face of Philippine volleyball, was supposed to see action last Sunday after getting her International Transfer Certificate (ITC) just an hour before their game against King Bangkok but was held out in the last minute for undisclosed reasons.

The multiple UAAP and Philippine V-League MVP winner and three-time Miss Volleyball by the Phl Sportswriters Association, however, got the nod of the coaching staff and should see some action.

If it happens, Valdez will become the first ever player from the Philippines to ever play in the Thai League as a reinforcement.

3BB is currently running third in the league with a 5-3 (win-loss) record behind unbeaten leader Supreme Volleyball Club (9-0) and Bangkok Glass (8-1).

Valdez secured her ITC, a document needed for a player to see action in another club team outside the country, after Larong Volleyball ng Pilipinas, Inc. acting president Peter Cayco of Arellano U facilitated the processing of it.
