MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Basketball Association pioneer player and former FedEx/Air21 assistant coach Cecilio “Ching Ching” Marcelino died last Monday due to cardio-pulmonary arrest. He was 60.

Marcelino played for 7-Up in the early days of the pro loop and was a former Phl youth player, with Lim Eng Beng, Florendo Ritualo Sr. and Bong dela Cruz as teammates. He was also a one-time assistant coach of the Phl youth team and served as a deputy mentor for pro team FedEx and Air21.
