Miranda, Feliciano to boost bids in Petron super series

-

MANILA, Philippines - Young karters tackle the challenging course of the Batangas Racing Circuit as they try to boost their title bids tomorrow, in the second leg of the 2011 Petron Karting Super Series in Rosario, Batangas.

Daniel Miranda of Cebuana Lhuillier-Marcelo Racing and top lady karter Sacha Feliciano hope to continue their dominance in their respective divisions of this event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) and sponsored by Petron, San Miguel Corporation, Denso Iridium Power, Motorstar Eastway and Yokohama Philippines.

The top Filipino finisher in the Asian Karting championship leg in Macau, Miranda seeks his second straight win in the ROK Novice class against Matthew Chan of FERN-C Racing and CJ Tsui.

Feliciano, showing no rust after being sidelined by a dislocated arm injury, aims a repeat over Jaz Monzones of RP1-Natmo Asia, Jason Ryan Difuntorum of AUTS Racing in the Formula SL Novice division, Basti Escalante of Tuason Racing and Aira Medrano of FERN-C Racing.

Also favored are Carl Pollington of FERN-C Racing and Raymond Cudala of Tuason Racing.

Pollington guns for another sweep in the Mini-ROK class against newcomers Vince Adrian Rojo, Jarond Mesina and Russel Rex King.

Cudala, a product of a Future champion search, will try to rule the Cadet SQ class over Tuason Racing teammates William Casequin and AT Tuason, Tai Zulberti and Stephen Taylor of Ready2Race.
