Francis Zamora re-elected San Juan mayor for third time

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections has formally proclaimed incumbent Mayor Francis Zamora as the winner of the San Juan mayoral race, confirming his reelection.
This will be his third and final term as the city's chief executive.
Zamora beat the sole candidate who challenged him for the position, former basketball player Philip Cezar.

The re-electionist received 43,894 votes, based on partial, unofficial results gathered from the Commission on Elections' media server as of 4:31 a.m., reflecting 75% of election returns.
Cezar clinched 6,309 votes.
Meanwhile, AAA Agcaoili was elected the city's vice mayor with 48,600 votes, while Bel Zamora won as the city's lone district representative after garnering 44,545 votes.
