Rainy in parts of Luzon, Visayas due to LPA
MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area spotted off the coast of Northern Samar will bring rains over parts of Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The weather system was monitored at 185 kilometers east of Catarman as of 3 p.m. yesterday.
PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rains are expected over Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Eastern and Central Visayas, Camiguin Island, Dinagat Island and Surigao del Norte.
The low-pressure area spotted off the coast of Puerto Princesa, Palawan on Wednesday dissipated at 2 a.m. yesterday.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will see isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon while localized thunderstorms are expected over Mindanao and the rest of the Visayas.
