Large tree kills boatman

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines  – A boatman died while three Korean tourists and another boatman were hurt after a large tree fell into their banca while negotiating the rapids in Cavinti, Laguna yesterday morning, police said.

Police said boatman Francisco Cataang Jr., 24, died on the spot with a fractured skull.

Injured were Korean tourists Kim Kwang Su, 65; Kim Chil Soo, 59; and Jeong Gyeong Jang, 49, and boatman Wilfredo Juarez, who all sustained multiple abrasions.   – Arnell Ozaeta Cecille Suerte Felipe
