14 days of Christmas
MANILA, Philippines - It’s 14 days to Christmas, and getting anything done has become a very real problem. Everything is jam-packed and there’s nothing like going through the ridiculous holiday traffic to add to your already foul mood. (Not to mention the terrible chipmunk Christmas tunes you can’t seem to escape, elbow-to-elbow shoppers, and the growing list of people you have to buy gifts for.) Can you say “Bah, humbug”? To add insult to injury, you have to brave most of this hellish traffic to buy gifts for people you don’t even really like (I’m looking at you, officemates), so why bother?
Maybe it’s time to spend a little (or in this case, a lot of) money and love on the person who’s been there for you all year, who has your back no matter what, and who is inexplicably the most important being in your life — that’s right, we mean you. Why not spend that Christmas bonus getting some things that will keep a smile on your face and the Christmas spirit in your heart? If you’re waiting for your significant other/family member/(heaven forbid) officemate to magically figure out what it is you want, well, forget about it. Go ahead and imbibe the “Treat Yo Self” mantra. It’s the most wonderful time of the year and, well, you deserve it.
