What the hell happened at #YSPROM?

MANILA, Philippines - Not a parent or frowning teacher was in sight during our 18th birthday last Tuesday, May 13. Celebrating this milestone with a prom to remember (if we do say so ourselves) at a PPerheads-decorated Rockwell Tent, guests came in their kla$$iest, most ratchet attire.

Of course, no prom is complete without its reigning royals, and models LA Aguinaldo and Kelsey Merritt were crowned Samsung Prom King and Queen, taking home the Samsung Gear Fit and Gear 2, smart watches that connect to Samsung phones via bluetooth. Making all of us #foreveralone stags look bad was Cibo Couple of the Night Your Evil Twin’s An Estrada and The Daily Shirting Company’s Gerard Cancio. Standing out in the sea of gangstas and cholas, one-half of social media superstar Fly Art Productions Gisella Velasco and model Bruce Venida  won Sunnies Studios’ Best Dressed Awards.

Speaking of dapper dons, The Diegos started out the party with a solid set of punchy prom tracks, while She’s Only Sixteen regaled the crowd with some of their original music. Shutting down the party was Nix Damn P! who made the crowd go wild with his 90s throwback set.

Not one to leave us behind, our fairy godmother sponsors stayed up all night to get lucky with us. Samsung greeted the prom kids with a photobooth using the Samsung S5. Cibo di M served up some gastronomic awesomeness, with customized cones for organic peanuts and pizza ovals served fresh. (We must admit, we may have called the pizza oven our date for the night.) And because we aren’t like those proms in school gyms, Ralph’s and Ginebra San Miguel helped us get our dranks on. Suffice to say, partygoers did not only take home those awesome totes by JP Cuison, Ryan Villamael, and Carina and Luis Santos—we’re pretty sure those hangovers were unforgettable souvenirs, too.

11:06pm: Sunnies Studio marketing director Georgina Wilson awards Best Dressed guy and girl to Bruce Venida (“so Berlin,” she says) and Gisela Velasco (“premium ratchet”).

11:16pm: She’s Only Sixteen takes the stage and makes hearts swoon.

12:00am: Prom King and Queen awards go to Kelsey Merritt and LA Aguinaldo, respectively.

1:05 am: Nix Damn P! caps off the evening. That sh*t cray.
