Fast facts about the DHL Student Express

RAVIN’ FACTS - Jennifer Ong -

It can be paper or parcel. As long as it’s on its way to school, DHL can help you.  In fact, whether you’re a student, teacher or parent, DHL offers the DHL Student Express.

The DHL Student Express is a service that’s one of a kind. It aims to take everything straight to the school, be it an application form, transcript of records, school paper, project or simply, a care package from Mom and Dad.

Committed to making timely deliveries the world over, DHL now comes up with a delivery service that’s made to help students (even parents) get in touch with schools overseas. Launched simultaneously in Singapore, Thailand, India, and the Philippines, the DHL Student Express is all about getting stuff to school from wherever, whenever you need it to.

In an independent study, DHL found that there are over 14,000 students in the country who intend to pursue higher education overseas this year alone. And with the application process requiring as much as five to eight correspondences between the student and the school, DHL estimates that their newest service can help facilitate as many as 70,000 student shipments for 2008 alone.

DHL is also aware of the fact that universities and other schools in the country have been encouraging their students to participate in various student exchange programs. And as these students head abroad for a given time, they are going to need a service such as the Student Express that can help them send and/or receive packages from their home to their school and/or school dorm abroad.

Currently, the DHL Student Express is servicing student packages to schools, educational institutions, and universities in the USA, Singapore, and United Kingdom. And as demand grows in other destinations, too, you can also expect DHL Student Express to expand its reach everywhere else.

Through DHL’s Student Express, you can avail yourself of as much as a 15-percent discount when sending out your package. Your package can be a document or non-document type. In fact, DHL says it can also be beddings, clothing, mementos, books, and so much more.

Payment for this service can be done in cash or credit card. And any DHL Student Express package can be dropped off in various DHL retail outlets nationwide. More, packages outside the metro can avail of all DHL services through DHL’s domestic partner, Wide Wide World Express, which has branches throughout North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Now with DHL Student Express, your dream of studying far away from home just got a little bit closer.
