Marie Digby confirms 'friendship' with James Yap

International singer Marie Digby confirms that she is still in communication with local basketball star James Yap.

Rumor has it that the cager is going out with the international singer. One report pointed out that the two were seen together in Cebu. After James’ separation with television personality Kris Aquino, he had been rumoured to be dating a number of girls, including Korean Grace Lee, actress-model Isabel Oli, and most recently, Digby.

On the other hand, Marie was most recently rumoured to be going out with actor Sam Milby. Both of them confirmed this but their closeness soon began to wane.

In a television interview following Marie’s contract signing with a local recording label, she confirmed that she has been in constant communication with James through the social networking site Facebook.

"We are communicating on Facebook and we also run to each other a few times since I arrived here in the Philippines," she said.

"James and I are friends on Facebook. We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. With so many friends here in the Philippines, it’s easy to get confused with whom I'm friends with and whom I'm more than friends with," Marie added.

When asked if she is planning to go on a date with James, the YouTube sensation said: “We don’t plan a date and go out.”
