Meet Nokia's creative crew

-

MANILA, Philippines - Looking like people we’d totally want to share a drink — or three — with, these Supreme individuals make work look like play.

Name: Nikki Barton

Title: Head of Digital Design,

Nokia Design Studio: London

Lives: London, UK

Nationality: British

Where do you look for inspiration?

What inspires me now is that all the things we talked about and envisioned some 20 years ago are now becoming part of everyone’s reality. It also inspires me how, although our friends and work colleagues are spread all over the world, we can stay connected.

Name: Robert Williams

Title: Design manager, Nokia

Design Studio: London, UK

Lives: London

Nationality: British

What is your background?

I completed a degree in graphic design at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art, then I got into web and interaction design. I worked at a small agency when the Internet started to pick up and I realized that we needed to be designing things that people could use to navigate their way through it. I was attracted to Nokia because mobile communication offers so many more user-interface possibilities, and I feel like once again it’s an area where we are breaking new ground.

Name: Jung Younghee

Title: Research leader, Nokia

Research Center Bangalore, India

Lives: Bangalore

Nationality: South Korea

What design experience do you have prior to Nokia?

My first adventurous job was to work as an artist’s assistant organizing international exhibitions, which provided opportunities for me to meet creative minds. Since then, my jobs happened to be for rather big companies. But I was always lucky enough to work in small teams exploring future concepts.
