What are you grateful for?

I’ve learned that the key to happiness is to always be grateful for everything that happens in my life. When things don’t happen as I planned — like when a friend betrays me, or when I experience an unfortunate incident — I choose to look at the positive side, remain grateful and count my blessings. I always turn away from bitterness or sadness.

We live in a complicated world, with the turn of events happening so fast all around us, it is in finding time to pause, pray and be grateful for all the positive things in our lives that bring us back to achieving the balance we need in our lives. It is in this balance where we can find the peace and contentment we are looking for.

I am grateful for my life and for all the blessings that have been given to me. First, I am grateful for getting to know the Lord and for having a relationship with Him. I’m grateful for my parents. Growing up, they allowed me to explore every opportunity, every skill and to have a good education. They both came from poor backgrounds, so they wanted me to have every chance in life, that wasn’t particularly present in theirs.
