Ogie Alcasid: Big on parenting books

THE READING CLUB - THE READING CLUB By Girlie Rodis -
It’s been a great year for Ogie Alcasid. He had another child who will most probably be as beautiful as their mother Michelle and first daughter Leila. He had a sold-out concert at the Araneta Coliseum. He is a headliner on the Sunday show S.O.P. And his gag show Bubble Gang continues to entertain its loyal Friday viewers. The guy is just unstoppable. Between composing great love songs and keeping a full TV, movie and recording schedule, Ogie still finds time to read.
Ogie Alcasid’s Book List
1. 10 Principles For Spiritual Parenting by Mimi Doe with Marsha Walch – It is a valuable, instructive book that helps parents stop and think about what really matters, so that they can help their children do the same – and thereby get to the heart of spiritual life.

2. Living The Simple Life by Elaine St. James –
A very popular book that teaches people how to start scaling down or removing the clutter in their lives. It gives the readers a proper perspective of how life can be more enjoyable even without the things that they think they need.

3. Simplify Your Life With Kids by Elaine St. James –
This book gives down-to-earth suggestions on how to raise well-adjusted children by improving the quality and increasing the quantity of time one can spend with their kids.

4. White Oleander by Janet Fitch –
A novel so beautifully written; so inspiring and real. An unforgettable story about Astrid, the main character, and her journey through a series of foster homes and her efforts to find a place for herself in impossible circumstances. It is one of those good reads. I believe it will be a motion picture very soon.

5. Tiger Woods: How I Play Golf by Tiger Woods –
Golf has been said to imitate life and in this book Tiger explains how his method has made him endure the difficulties of the game and how the game has made him confront the challenges of life. His story is inspiring and his attitude towards work quite admirable.
