Christmas is the time of giving, thanks to those who have touched our lives. It’s the busiest time of year for malls and bazaars since everyone is getting special gifts for people they love.

ALYANNA MARTINEZ, writer/stylist, Preview magazine: The best Christmas gift I’ve ever received was my toy poodle Coco. I have always dreamt of having a cute, black puppy I could dress up and take around with me but my dad and brother have asthma and my mom isn’t exactly an animal lover. I thought having a puppy would just remain a dream of mine but after much nagging and debating, I got my wish with a poodle that is apparently hypo-allergenic. It has been two years since that fateful day my dad came home and surprised me with my dog. Today, he is the most loved (and spoiled) baby in the house. I definitely could not have asked or received a better Christmas gift.
CLAIRE SEELIN DIOKNO, makeup artist, Shu Uemura: The best Christmas gift I’ve ever received was my first makeup kit from my husband. It was the biggest makeup kit I’ve ever seen, complete with lights, a mirror and it could even stand up on its own. I love that kit, and cleaning it every night is my favorite pastime. It was a dream come true, until we realized it was Ricky who would have to carry the huge kit to every photo shoot and fashion show we had. Every day. Up the stairs, down the stairs, on sand, up hills, every where. He never complained. He said he just loved to see me smile every time we set it up.
GRETCHEN FULLIDO, news reporter: My favorite Christmas gifts that I’ve ever received are puppies! I’ve been receiving puppies (chihuahuas, yorkies, pomeranians, mini pinschers, and pekingnese) as gifts for a number of Christmases already and I just can’t get enough of these loyal creatures! It just goes to show how much of a dog lover I am! I really appreciate how friends and family send me dog accessories, dog clothes, and anything that has a dog design on it, may it be a bag, necklace, bracelet, pouch or anything that I can use and I surely can’t wait to get more!

So it was really more of a Happy Octoberfest/Merry Christmas card. Cheers Santa! That was a great gift closely matched only by the MacBook Pro my wife gave me last year! She is such a great gift-giver, not just stuff with a wow factor like the laptop but every gift she gives shows how thoughtful she is.
