Watami introduces lunch set menu
MANILA, Philippines- It was one of those rare moments when you chance upon a newly opened restaurant, dine in and feel satisfied as you walk out those doors.
A couple of friends and I chanced upon Watami at the SM Mall of Asia toward the end of last year. Without knowing much about the restaurant, we went in and after having placed our orders, made some queries from the server. Watami is under The Bistro Group and is one of the top casual restaurants in Japan.
The menu naturally features well-loved Japanese dishes with a little more variety from the sushi, salad, tempura, ramen and rice meals. What stood out for us at the time were the Crispy Chicken Wings, the Watami Salad, and the Beef Rice Bowl with Hot Spring Egg.
It may be Watami’s relaxing colors and interiors that encourage diners to take time to enjoy the food with friends and lighthearted conversations but what of those who are always in a rush—and yet need to have their fill of their favorites here?
Thus, Watami introduces a new lunch set menu for office workers and diners to fit their hectic schedules.
The lunch set menus feature Watami’s signature Stone Pots, which are one-bowl wonders of Black Pepper Beef, Pork, or Beef Sukiyaki served in heated pots that not only keep the meal warm, but also cooks the meat to your liking. For those who like it raw, there are options for tuna or salmon sashimi rice sets, served with your choice of mini cold or hot udon to complement the meal. Price starts at P275 and includes salad and miso soup.
Other items included in the lunch menu include rice sets featuring tempura, deep fried chicken or pork, roasted mackerel, Tokyo-style beef served with hot spring egg, and chicken cutlet with scrambled egg sauce. Alternatively, you can also enjoy noodles with the cold soba and tempura set.
Other signature dishes at Watami include Beef Sukiyaki, Stone Pots, Assorted Tempura, Pizza and oversized drinks.
