Create your own kitchen journey at CCA
MANILA, Philippines -The Center for Culinary Arts (CCA, Manila) offers its Kitchen Discovery Classes (KDC) and the Young Chefs Culinary Tricks (YCCT). The KDC is designed for grownups who want to hone their budding culinary skills or are considering starting their own food business or working in the food industry, while the YCCT is for kids who are interested in learning how to cook or prepare delicious treats, turning them into instant junior chefs.
The KDC will be handled by two of CCA’s alumni and celebrity chefs Tristan Encarnacion and Rosebud Benitez, who will not only teach but also introduce the possibilities of developing your culinary skills by providing learners a specialized memorable experience through fun-filled and interesting lectures, interactive demonstrations, hands-on kitchen production, and skills assessment.
The six-hour program will be held on Saturdays (April 6, 13, 27), involving three hours of cooking and baking classes each. For only P3,800, it will include ingredients for all the featured recipes, lecture and recipe handouts, CCA apron, T-shirt and skull cap, towels, and a certificate of participation to be given at the end of the program. Those taking the course will also have a chance to know more and open themselves to taking some of CCA’s professional courses.
The YCCT gives the young ones the opportunity to hone their skills in basic cooking and baking, but also the chance to discover different cuisines around the world. This may also be the start for your kid to become a future chef or restaurateur.
From April to May, the YCCT will offer five different modules for all weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 1 to 5 p.m. CCA’s main campus in Katipunan will feature “My Ultimate Comfort Foods†(Apr 9-13, May 6-10 & 20-24), “Cooking My Way through Asia†(Apr 15-19, May 6-10 & 27-31) and “Junior Culinary and Baking Essentials†(Apr 22-26, May 6-10 & 14-18) and is open to kids 10 to 16 years old, while CCA Podium/ Market Café will hold “My First Crack at Cooking†designed for kids seven to 10 years old (Apr 15-19, Apr 29-May 3, May 13-17 & 27-31) and “My Sweet Life†for kids 10 to 16 years old (Apr 8-12, 22-26, May 6-10 & 20-24).
