Bulgari recreates an iconic bracelet
MANILA, Philippines - Bulgari combines steel and pink gold to create decorative details in the latest edition of its celebrated Tubogas band.
The flexible Tubogas band, along with the famous circular Bulgari Bulgari logo, gives rise to new bracelets where the reinterpretation of the past stands as the distinctive sign of a timeless style. Developed in the 1970s, the technique for crafting the intricate Tubogas band grew out of a quest to maximize the malleability of yellow gold. It was by wrapping two strips with raised edges around an armature of wood or copper and then linking them together that the original, weld-free flexible bands were obtained.
In the new bracelets, color characterizes the decorative elements in coral, onyx and diamond pavé that grace the central disc. The customary meticulousness that Bulgari applies to its every creation can be seen even in the smallest details, such as the new type of clasp, at once easy to use and aesthetically discreet so as to bring out the best of the precious heart of these new interpretations of Tubogas.
