MANILA, Philippines - Art+ (Artplus) Magazine holds the finale week of its visual arts festival which starts today until Aug. 17, Sunday, at the Rockwell Power Plant Mall.

“Focus on the Arts: Art in Transit” the festival features works by some of the very best of Philippine modern, traditional and contemporary artists. For the festival finale week, currently being held at the Power Plant’s North Court, the exhibit’s curators have culled some of the representative works from the exhibited artists.

Included are rare abstract works by National Artist Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, rarities by National Artist Arturo Luz, sculptures by National Artist Abdulmari Imao and Presidential Medal of Merit awardee Juvenal Sanso. Works by modernist masters Eduardo Castrillo, Raul Isidro, Justin Nuyda and Ramon Orlina as well as from contemporary artists Rene Cuvos, Ram Mallari, Rob Lucas, Aileen Lanuza and Vincent de Pio are combined with works by genre masters like Angelito Antonio, Mario Parial and Dominic Rubio.

There will be meet-and-greet with the artists who have graced the covers and inside pages of the magazine on Aug. 16, 5:30 p.m. For information, call 721-0504.

The Festival Finale is presented by Bacardi, Rockwell Power Plant Mall and Art+ Magazine.
