Gallery News: Napay, Garcia and Pasilan at Pinto Art Gallery

MANILA, Philippines - The Pinto Art Gallery presents three simultaneous shows ”Home” by Raffy T. Napay, “Better Days Ahead” by Mark Andy Garcia, and “Always Watching” by Neil Pasilan  which open on Sept. 14, 3 p.m. at the Pinto Art Gallery in Antipolo City. The shows run until Oct. 5.

In “Home,” Napay depicts close family ties, while Garcia reflects on the tragic events he encountered in “Better Days Ahead.” Pasilan’s “Always Watching” is inspired by people-watching.

Four shows at West Gallery

West Gallery presents four shows — “Bound, “ “Destination Unknown,” “Delaying Tactics,” and “Bountiful Blessings” — which are on view until Sept. 16 at West Gallery, Mary Santos Artcade, 48 West Ave., QC.

At Gallery 1, Mark Andy Garcia, Eugene Jarque, Neil Arvin Javier, Lynyrd Paras, Lirio Salvador and Mac Valdezco depict themes that matter to them the most in “Bound.”

At Gallery 2, Charles Buenconsejo’s “Destination Unknown” presents the universe in contemplation.

At Gallery 3, Buboy Cañafranca’s “Delaying Tactics” sees the pictrure derived from any photograph or painting as the beginning of an unfished broadcast, a prolonged message or an artful dodge to any kind of resolution.

At Gallery 4, Ryan Rubio’s “Bountiful Blessings” is a glimpse into the artist’s constant pursuit of finding new techniques and strokes that he can apply in his continually evolving body of work.

In celebration of Ricco-Renzo Gallery’s 10th year anniversary, Rafael “Popoy” Cusi takes viewers to an artistic joyride in “MINI Cusi,” which opens on Sept. 12 at the MINI Philippines Showroom, 5th Ave. corner 26th St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The show is presented in partnership with MINI Philippines.

As an added attraction, MINI Philippines will be auctioning off one-of-a-kind MINI hoods and mirror caps painted by Cusi, for the benefit of LETS Read (Learning English Through Stories), an English literacy program for public school children.
