Relax, recharge & live the life

MANILA, Philippines - Young, energetic and with a vivacious spirit — that is what young entertainer Ken Alfonso is made of. He maintains a good head on his shoulders while consciously working on being the next big thing in local entertainment.

As a “newbie” in the industry, Ken admits he is still challenged by the different roles he portrays. “I get to meet a lot of actors on the set, and I can’t hide the fact that I am a fan and I still get star-struck when I see my idols,” says Ken.

Aside from being a part of teleseryes (including The Rich Man’s Daughter on GMA-7), various TV guestings have also made Ken a familiar face in the local entertainment industry. In addition to his acting career, he is also busy collaborating with a team for his first album.

Ken also mentions his interest in marketing as he is currently working with different companies, conceptualizing their marketing programs.

Given his jam-packed schedule, Ken is able to maintain work-life balance by making an effort to do the things that he enjoys outside of work. “Let’s accept the fact that city life has become more stressful and we need to unwind and release our stresses. What better way to relax than going regularly to a spa?” shares Ken.

“Going to BlueWater Day Spa is what I look forward to (at the end of my busy day)! I am pampered from head-to-toe — from a facial to a whole body massage. I could spend the entire day there and still look forward to it the next day,” Ken says.

Before being handpicked to become one of BlueWater Day Spa’s brand ambassadors, Ken already likes frequenting the popular establishment through his friends’ recommendation.

“My favorite treatments are the Athlete’s Massage, which is a deep tissue massage that you can enjoy for two hours, and the Diamond Peel, which includes cleaning and mask,” Ken says.

He adds, “I give in to my guilty pleasures from time to time. I make sure to head off to BlueWater to undergo the RF treatment. After the treatment, I already notice a significant difference. I also recommend the Theater Spa in Greenhills. All you have to do is sit back, relax, watch a movie and enjoy your massage.”

Making time for the things that matter in his life, Ken is not one to dwell on the usual stress and is self-motivated enough to want to achieve his goals, giving the following advice, “First, realize your strengths — the things that you believe you’re good at, be it a hobby, sports, or your career. Second, do not hesitate to spend on your wardrobe, splurge a little on good food, enjoy a cup of coffee with friends and lastly, always remember not to compare yourself with others nor to compete with anyone else because you are good enough as who you are.”
