(The Philippine Star) - June 17, 2012 - 12:00am

MANILA, Philippines - “I profess not to know how women’s hearts are wooed and won. To me they have always been matters of riddle and admiration.” — Washington Irving

The Allure section of the Philippine STAR celebrates its seventh edition of Women of Allure and honored 16 alluring and accomplished women with a four-day photo exhibit at the Power Plant Mall of Rockwell Center in Makati City.

Women of Allure 2012 include CVCLAW partner and top lawyer Franchette Acosta, ABS-CBN executive Tootsy Echauz-Angara, fashion designer Maureen Disini, international model Alexandra Escat, graphic designer Isabel Gatuslao, The Bag Hag Diaries’ Ingrid Go, Messy Bessy owner and eco-entrepreneur Krie Lopez, National Book Store and The Ramp Crossings GM Xandra Ramos-Padilla, TV5 personality and UNICEF advocate Daphne Oseña-Paez, Paradigma’s Patricia Prieto, fashion designer Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez, Joanique owner and jewelry designer Malou Romero, Makati Shangri-La Hotel director of communications Erica Sotto, Metro Home associate editor and interior designer Barbie Tiangco, Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2012 Janine Marie Tugonon and top makeup artist and book author Bianca Valerio.

These women embody not just style but also substance. Coming from diverse fields — from law to fashion, from TV to magazine, from business to corporate world — their common denominator is they all have very inspiring stories to tell.

The event was presented by the Power Plant Mall. Guests enjoyed sumptuous canapés and flowing drinks from the exhibit’s co-presentor, Bizu Patisserie. The Women of Allure 2012 took home giveaways from The Body Shop.
