Yellow celebration

Yellow is the color of happiness.
This we endearingly proved at the recent birthday celebration of Allure editor and People Asia editor-in-chief Joanne Rae Ramirez when New World Hotel GM Farid Schoucair and PR director Monique Toda hosted a birthday lunch in her honor.
The intimate occasion was as yellow as the sunshine. Yes, it was a happy “yellow” birthday celebration for lovely Joanne with friends including Pinky Aquino-Abellada (who distributed very cute Noynoy Aquino dolls), Milette Belmonte, Rose Anne Belmonte, Suzette Hahn-Lopez, Virgie Ramos, Büm Tenorio, Girlie Rodis, Dr. Alex Ayco, Lovely Romulo, Mons Tantoco and Carissa Evangelista.
Yellow iamninoy-iamcory scarves and ties by Tie Line and yellow oil burners from People Asia were also given away to the guests.
Everybody had a grand time partaking of the sumptuous fare that included Birthday Noodles, fresh garoupa fillet soup with bamboo pith in fish broth, Imperial Peking duck, steamed lobster with minced garlic, ginger and leek, steamed black garoupa with superior soy sauce, deep-fried prawns with dried chili, black beans and crispy garlic and steamed angled squash with preserved vegetables, Chinese fried rice and the yummy orange jelly.
With yellow as the motif of the occasion, the celebration was simply divine. Happy, happy birthday, Joanne!
