CAINTA, Philippines — When we start working — or even while going to school — we develop a routine to stay organized. So we do not forget anything important; so we stay on schedule and fulfill our obligations all the time.

But sometimes, doing the same things over and over can make things repetitive, predictable, boring. This is something actor Donny Pangilinan goes through just like the rest of us, but he makes sure he keeps his days interesting by "weaving a little magic" every day.

“When youre doing things over and over again, its going to feel like a cycle. So the most important thing is to be around people who wont let you get sucked into showbiz and to make sure that you dont lose yourself. Do things that remind you of who you are. At the same time, you should not forget to prepare for work,” said Donny.

The actor shares how he finds ways to turn even the simplest moments into magical ones, such as munching on his favorite Magic Creams snack when he’s at work.

Drawing inspiration from the magic man himself, we can take the boredom out of our daily routine and make our days more exciting.

  • Take a break and relax your mind and body.  Keep within a peaceful environment. What Donny does to relax is to go on food trips or have game nights with friends.
  • Spend more time around nature. Learn to appreciate the outdoors. Surround yourself with greens, maybe even stop and smell the flowers. Since his favorite hobbies now are playing golf and scuba diving, Donny takes out-of-town trips to get away from the city and be one with nature. He goes golfing with his siblings and enjoys the bonding time with them. He heads for the beach and goes scuba diving. He is, in fact, building a beach house near the best diving spots in Anilao, Batangas. He also likes to go hiking and camping.
  • Try new things. The best way to break out of a routine is to step outside your comfort zone and do something you have never done before. Donny does. He had “a magical moment” when he went skydiving for the first time in Dubai. “It gave me a feeling I have never felt before,” he said.
  • Travel. A change of scenery should do you a lot of good. Travel around the country. Take a trip abroad. This is what Donny wants to do once he is done shooting his teleserye. “I want to travel more and be able to go to countries for the first time,” he said.

There’s always a point in our twenties when we ask the million-dollar question: “When exactly do I start aging?” Many sources will give you mixed answers, but Doctor Vicki Belo has a hard and fast answer: “Aging starts at 25, because that’s when your hormones decline.”

It’s not a secret that everybody ages. But how to delay aging is also no longer a mystery. This is where prejuvenation comes in: the practice of starting anti-aging treatments and skincare at a younger age to prevent signs of aging that tend to catch up on us later in life. So what’s the best way to kickstart your era of prejuvenation? Well, Donny Pangilinan just might have the answer to that.

From the face to the name, Donny needs no further introduction, other than him being the newest face of Belo’s ADVAYouth laser. Successfully reviving classic matinee idol charms and unapologetic sweetness with his longtime leading lady, Donny is the poster boy of living your best life in your ‘20s. But those who lead the same life know that being constantly screen-strapped, beach-bound and matted with makeup leaves us exposed to UV damage, acne, acne scars, sun spots and skin texture.

Belo ADVALight is a skin treatment that’s literally a treat for your skin, thanks to the world’s first and only solid-state yellow laser, made up of two wavelengths: one that heals your scars and hyperpigmentation, as well as zaps the bacteria that causes acne, and another that calms down the oiliness and boosts the collagen that keeps wrinkles and fine lines absent. The virtually painless 30-minute session can target scars on the body, too.

“Prior to ADVALight, we could only treat acne through medicine and topical solutions,” Dr. Belo shared. “Now, because of this laser machine that shrinks pores, inflammation and redness, you can have clear and refined skin by using ADVALight every two weeks, for four to six sessions.”
